About Ashley

Travel has always been a big part of my life. As the youngest of six kids, we all hopped in our parent’s Station Wagon saw the United States from the back seat. Our vacations were mostly spent visiting my grandma and cousins in Florida. We spent every summer water skiing, swimming, fishing, reminiscing at family reunions, and touring Disney World. This fostered a great love for the water, sense of adventure, knowledge of the world we live in and playing in the sun that I still carry with me today.

I have been married for 33 plus years and have raised three wonderful kids that now have my grandchildren. Years ago, for my honeymoon, my husband and I enjoyed the sparkling blue water and white sandy beaches of the Bahamas. We had so much fun and look forward to returning to the Caribbean again to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. Because I have always put family first, I did not travel as much as I would have liked to but the past few years, I have been able to travel. I have traveled to twenty four of the fifty United States and some of my fondest memories have come from our adventures away from home. From the beaches in Destin, Florida, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to the West Coast of Coronado Island, California; from the wild parades of Mardi Gras in New Orleans to all the sights in New York, I have been very fortunate to crisscross our country and to get to experience so many beautiful places right here in the US. As a parent, I will never forget the ultimate feeling of satisfaction when we arrived at the Magic Kingdom with my children. My daughter gazed up at Cinderella’s Castle and said, “It is even more beautiful than I ever dreamed of!” That’s what life’s special memories are all about.

In the past, I have planned reunions for many different high schools in the Houston area, coordinated various corporate events, planned group outings, and facilitated team-building activities for companies from all around the world. In the past few years, I helped my daughter and my son plan two incredible 8-event wedding extravaganza here in Houston, as well as their honeymoons to one of the Best All-Inclusive Resorts in Cancun.  My family is what I am most proud of and my biggest accomplishments. My children have visited multiple continents and I dream about many future trips exploring the world with them as their families grow. Before the Pandemic, I was fortunate to travel to the last Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany and Salzburg, Austria.  We toured through the beautiful country sides of both countries to see Neuschwanstein Castle (better known as Sleeping Beauty’s Castle), the beautiful cities of Hallstatt, Austria, Rothenberg ob. der Tauber, Bavaria, Germany, and many incredible cities in between.

I am so excited to be a part of the Modern Travelworks Family. I am looking forward to fulfilling many dreams by assisting couples in the planning of their destination weddings and planning dream vacations for others.
