My (now) husband and I chose Modern Travelworks to assist with our room block arrangement and help our guests book their accommodations with the resort for our destinationwedding. From our very first conversation with Sheba and Fereshta, we knew we made the right choice. They were very warm, funny, knowledgeable, professional, and made everything incredibly easy from the first day up unto the wedding. Sheba was very quick with guest quotes (sometimes multiple for one person), and went over and beyond tracking people down and getting them to book (I've learned people procrastinate a LOT- that part was a bit nerve-wracking!). But she got it done with minimal work needed on our part. Closer to the wedding, my best friend's husband had another serious complication from a brain surgery he had months prior and they were unable to attend. I had fronted the cost for their stay because I really wanted them to be there and I know medical bills were piling up for them. Once I learned they couldn't attend, I reached out to Sheba to see if there was any way I could recover any of the money I paid. I knew it would be a long shot since I didn't remember to buy the travel insurance (I highly suggest getting it just in case!!!). However, Sheba was able to recover the full amount once we submitted medical documentation! I don't know how she did it- I can only think she's a magician or something! Needless to say, we've been very impressed with their service and highly recommend them for guest accommodations for any wedding or event. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts!

In 2020 during the shutdown, my friends (that I met in college over 40 years ago), and I were having our virtual girls afternoon outing via Zoom. We decided we wanted to host a Destination Birthday Celebration for our 60th birthdays in 2022. We found Sheba Mathews, Team Leader, Modern Travelworks on line and she did not disappoint. Sheba helped us plan a fabulous Destination Birthday Celebration for us and our guests; 35 in total at Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa Resort, Cancun, Mexico. The five star resort was spectacular. Sheba coordinated with the resort to make sure our vacation was Amazing and Memorable. We could not have experienced such Awesomeness without Sheba. This was one of the best vacations I have ever experienced. I’m still smiling.Throughout the process, Sheba Mathews was professional, approachable, responsive and very patient with the hostesses and our guests. She worked with the resort in order for them to provide us with a complimentary space for our meet and greet and a complimentary cocktail hour and dinner for our birthday celebration. Plus there were numerous surprises for all 5 hostesses and the 4 guests turning 60 in 2022! We felt very special!Everyone had a fabulous time! I mean everyone! The all-inclusive resort was beautiful, the staff was amazing and the food was great!I will definitely use Sheba’s services again! If you are planning a destination wedding, vow renewal, birthday celebration or just a vacation with family and friends, and you need a travel agent to assist, I highly recommend Sheba Mathews!

Modern Travelworks is a GREAT and TRUSTWORTHY travel agency to use when booking your vacation to Mexico. Like most people, I take online reviews with a grain of salt, but truly, this travel agency went far beyond our expectations for a special trip and helped when I experienced an unexpected turn during the trip.We primarily coordinated our trip with Krystal Aziz. Due to pandemic, the emails went back and forth for over a year. Krystal always responded in a timely matter and provided recommendations to make the best out of our trip! Krystal was able to get us the hotel room we wanted, for the entire duration of our trip, so we didn’t have to bother with the hassle of trading rooms in the middle of our vacation.Krystal made it easy on us by setting up transportation from the airport to hotels. This gave us the confidence knowing what to expect on each leg of our trip, and knew our logistics would be there so our vacation would not be interrupted.Lastly, a special thank you to Mike Hart as well. Mike was covering for Krystal when I unexpectedly needed transportation arrangements. Within the same business day, Krystal and Mike worked together to secure transportation while even considering earlier pick up times for expected heavy traffic.All of this assistance proved valuable, our trip was great, and would use Modern Travelworks again to plan our next trip!Thank You!!!!

I've dealt with quite a few travel services but I can say I've never come across someone like Sheba. I was booking a trip with some friends. We kinda had an idea of the things we wanted. We told her, she looked it up but then came back with a better alternative that worked for everyone. We didn't even ask her to do that but when you're good at your job you go above and beyond to satisfy the customer and thats what she did. She was able to book us a nice hotel suite for less than what I saw online elsewhere. I don't always use travel services but now I wonder why have I not. Ms.Mathews was so on point with all of your needs. She worked with you on getting the best price for your buck. Also when me and my husband got to our room at the Now Oxyx in Punta Cana a lovely Honeymoon banner was draped on the door. Oh how special we felt for the sweet surprise. Loooooooooved working with Sheba. I checked Amex Travel because I trust them. Sheba matched their rate and it was just great to have an actual person to ask questions about the resort and stand by the experience. Everything went so smoothly I don’t think I need to use Amex travel for any international trips ever again.

I worked with Anna w/modern travels works to plan a destination birthday party in Vegas. Anna was amazing every single step of the way. We probably weren’t the easiest client as we changed our minds on flights more than once, as well as activities and locations. Each time Anna jumped in with a GREAT attitude, ready to help. She was great at giving me advice on ways I could make it special while also saving some cash. Friends were having a destination wedding in Cancun and I reserved a room for a group of four. My best friend is getting married in late February 2020 and chose a destination wedding in Tulum. I worked with Sheba Mathews to book our trip, and she was so incredibly helpful, available, knowledgeable and may just be one of the most genuinely friendly people I have ever worked with. We recently made the decision to cancel our trip due to my pregnancy and personal financial reasons, and she was once again a gem in helping us throughout the refund process. It was easy, hassle free and although my heart breaks that I can’t be there for my best friend, Sheba’s kind and encouraging words helped lessen the burden of guilt. Even more, she expressed a joy for my pregnancy in a way that mirrored my family. Every time I communicated with her, it felt like I was speaking to a close friend. Thank you Sheba! We got married in Jamaica this October and it was a dream come true! Heather and Sam at MVDW helped coordinate our wedding and were both nothing less than amazing!!! We had to change locations twice for personal reasons and they still provided top notch customer service and were always so kind. Heather transitioned to a higher position during our planning process, but still made herself available to personally assist us.
